TRY THESE EASY TIPS TO REMOVE BAD CAR SMELLS

Sometimes, your car is your office. Other times, it’s your break room. On some days, it’s even your dining room. It shuttles your kids to and from school and gets your pets to the vet. We spend a lot of time in our cars, and sometimes our daily lives can leave behind some funky smells in our vehicles. Nobody wants a smelly car, so here are a couple of tips and strategies to remove unwelcome odors.

STOP THE SMELL BEFORE IT STARTS.

Bringing food, chemicals, or even perfumes into your vehicle can leave behind some foreign scents. If you must bring certain items into your car, make sure you aren’t leaving trash behind to smell up the vehicle. Remember that your car is a small, enclosed space that easily absorbs and retains odors. Vacuum out your vehicle often, making sure to get under the seats for lost french fries or wrappers.

USE BAKING SODA.

Baking soda, an alkaline powder, is notorious for absorbing odors quickly. All that you should do is pop open a box of it and liberally sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet. After a few hours, vacuum up the powder. You can even leave an open container of baking soda in the cup holder and let it work its magic!

If you ever get in your car and think to yourself, “My car smells funny,” try these quick and safe options! If you still have a problem with unpleasant odors, consult a cleaning professional.
